At last our little friend is completed. This was a long project but one that was very educational. In the end I learned a number of new techniques, experimented with color and I am happy with the final results. Enjoy!
I like how a number of elements have come together on this.....
The mounting pedestal, direction of the grain, image used as a title plate....
Moving onto the figure.... good brush & colour control, and stepping into new techniques definitely rewarded you (after a short climb up the frustration learning curve....)
I think you can be rightfully pleased with your efforts!
He was certainly worth the time and effort. A fine looking piece.
